The Heat Is On!
I am actually glad that I am posting this announcement on SOF later than I did for my Meetup Group. The details changed substantially from what was originally noted on the Museum's calendar. Here's the latest, hot off of the presses, for all my sistas!
Please note that you will also have the opportunity to be a part of a very important project, which seeks to detail family legacies by offering free portraits during the course of the book fair. Eight professional photographers will be available to take your family portrait, and you will receive an 8 X 11 photograph for FREE! So let's make this event a family affair.
I will be interviewing the director of AAM and the book fair organizers and authors next. The topic will be literacy and African American children. Stay tuned!
Fri, September 16, 6pm Opening Reception. Come out and meet the organizers and authors! Refreshments will be served.
Sat, September 17, 11am – 5pm Panels/Book Fair/Entertainment/Free Family Portraits
